Notes of white peach, apricot, and warm hay, along with floral tones, characterize the bouquet. On the palate, it is dense, with a wonderful array of apple and pear flavors, finely balanced by notes of vanilla and hazelnut. Subtle saline notes complete the picture. A touch of acidity (citrus) lends freshness to this dry white wine and opens up the long finish.
The Cloudy Bay Chardonnay was aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, with 20% of the barrels being new.
